Hello everyone. I hope all is going well. This week will be a short one due to the observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. We will not have school on 11/24 and 11/25. I have many things to be thankful for, and one of those is that I am thankful for this wonderful job in which I have the opportunity on a daily basis to positively affect the lives of your children. I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving in the company of your friends and your loved ones.

Respectfully,
Mrs. Soto

Bullying Problem in Schools

Hello Everyone. October was Bullying Prevention Month. In schools throughout the country, there has been a significant increase in incidents involving bullying. It is extremely important that schools and parents work together to prevent bullying among the children. What can you do to help? Talk with your child about what bullying is. Remind them that we are to treat others as we would like to be treated. Let them know that if they ever feel they are victims of bullying, they should immediately speak to someone about it. As always, thank you for your time and continued cooperation with us.

Hello everyone! Can you believe we only have seven days left of school? It's true what they say that time flies when you are having fun. I for certain have truly enjoyed my class this year. It has been an honor having the opportunity to teach your child this year. But the learning doesn't stop here. I cannot stress enough how important it is that your child reads throughout the summer. In an effort to help with this, I will be giving the class reading material for each week of the summer break. Please be on the lookout for this reading packet. This might be perhaps the most important thing you can do for your child this summer. I thank you for your support and cooperation throughout the year. I wish you a happy and safe summer. See you all in August.

Hello everyone! I hope all is going well. This month in Reading, the class focused on reading as if speaking and also on understanding what has been read. In Writing, they focused on writing stories on a variety of topics. In Math, they focused on learning how to tell time on an analog clock. I am very excited because we recently had a training on how to incorporate creative play into our day. This is beneficial to the children in many different ways. It gives them an opportunity to exercise and gather up some energy to get them through the last part of the day. The kids love it and look forward to it every day. Well that is all for today. Have a great rest of the week.

Hello Everyone!

I hope that all is going well. In class, we are continuing to work very hard in all subjects, especially in reading. I can't help but to feel a great sense of pride when I hear the kids reading. It fills me with excitement to know that I have helped them accomplish this. On a different note, I would like to ask that you please speak with your child regarding school supplies that they might be out of. There are still several students coming to class without pencils and notebooks. I am not able to provide these items to all the students at this time. Also, I would so greatly appreciate it if you would please send a box of tissues as we are nearly out of them. That is all for today. As always, I thank you for your support and cooperation in regards to your child's education.

Respectfully,
Mrs. Soto
